Annual Friends Board Meeting

All are invited to the Annual Shrewsbury Public Library Friends Board Meeting. Following the board meeting from 6:30-7:00 PM, the Friends will host " A Pleasant Pairing: Tea and Chocolate" with a Downton Abbey theme. The evening will include a fun, educational talk highlighting the history and many health benefits of tea and dark chocolate. Included are samplings of tea infusions paired with fine chocolates. Reservations are required.

Mountain View Cemetery Historic Tour

The First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury is celebrating its 300th Anniversary this year and will be offering a tour of Mountain View Cemetery in conjunction with the Shrewsbury Historical Society. Seven historic characters will tell their stories in the Old Corner of the cemetery. Please reserve a spot for this fun evening on their website. Rain date is October 14th.

The story begins with the origins of the town, which required a church, and continues through the many congregations up to the present time. The program is free, and the public is welcome.
